anyone know if this is possible?

so you know the way Louis Armstrong sings? he does this kind of growly effect, which is produced by the false cords, (or false folds, which are the same tissues used in false cord screams). I know how to do that, and I have been listening to a lot of Bjork and she does these lil growls at times as an effect, but sometimes lower and sometimes higher. What I'm wondering is if that is only possible to do in M1, because when i try it in M2 it doesn't happen. I wonder if it's just an M1 thing or if I have to figure out how its done in M2. I'm thinking its just for M1 though. But this is also more M2 evidence because if that's only possible in M1 and not when using the second mechanism, then it proves yet again that there is no "mixing" of physical mechanisms.

This might not help tbh which is why I didn't answer this post initially.

I actually don't know how to make this distortion if it's different from the one I teach in the distortion course but that one can be done both in M1 and M2 but it did take me years in a sense. I didn't know about singing in M2 of course in the beginning but I remember finding distortion first in M1 and there was this huge gap in years until it began showing up in M2.

So, just in case, don't give up? 😂
