A speculation on how the greats came out fully formed with “unattainable” vocal ranges and tones…

So this might sound ridiculous to most people, But there is a small percentage of people who have come to the conclusion through observable patterns and observation that the world and society is not what it is percieved to be. These people are labeled as "conspiricy theorists'' by most and generally thought of as "crazy".

Well I would be lumped into that category, but before you write me off please humour me and let me explain a few things before I present you with my SPECULATION...

OK so I have been in cover bands ever since i was a teenager, I am now over 40. I have also been an assistant for an Illusionist doing shows, So I know how the "Entertainment" scene works and know how people are manipulated through illusion and perception. Most things in entertainment revolve around what and how the audience perceive things. like the M2 vocal technique with distortion gives the perception to the unenlightened (99.9% of people) that the singer is some sort of biological freak that can scream at the top of their lungs for hours on end while holding a nice tune too! But once you realise its an illusion it looses its mystique and know its just great technique coupled with self control and awareness!

Now lets look at those 2 last words "self control" and "awareness" How many teenage boys would you know you could say naturally display those qualities? I myself could say NONE! I was a teenage boy once and everybody I knew had very little if none of those traits, and as I get older I see no change to my conclusion. you think of yourself when you were trying to hit those high notes and distortion you just thought you needed to push harder! now when I was young some guys would try and do that stuff and because of youth they could somewhat get there but would struggle to do 1 song before the voice blew out!

The bands that exploded onto the scene with huge vocal frontmen were either in their teens or early 20s. Now I dont know about any of you guys but when I was growing up in bands EVERYBODY was shit compared to these bands, even just shit in general! Everybody just copied what they heard on the radio with no originality, youth naturally dont want to be original or different they are self concise and want to fit in with the tribe. So to get a band that the usual story goes they met in high school etc.. etc.. to have all members extraordinarily good players that displayed technique, originality, musical maturity and delivery of a seasoned performer in its self makes me suspicous, but to have a guy with a fully fledged voice like AXL or Cornell, or Stayley or Cobain etc etc.. I really find that hard to believe!

When researching how to sing like these guys everybody hits a wall with rubbish information, I believe its purposely gatekept to keep the knowledge from the masses, Alot of the singers when asked about their technique give the old "I would just lock myself in a room and scream for hours!" to send people down a false and detrimental path of imitation..

So my speculative theory is these singers and bands are trained somewhere from a very early age to be destined to become the next big thing that influences and steers the engineered society.  I dont think it is exclusive to rock singers or the music industry even, it seems to expand to all areas of social influence, Art, Sport, Science, Politicians etc etc..

I would like peoples thoughts/experiences with this? I am not into arguing or pushing my opinions onto anybody else, I would just like a civil conversation on peoples conclusions on why they may think this is has some validity or just rubbish conspiracy rot..

Cheers....

Man I have the same type of feelings about society in general AND mixed voice! When I started coming out of the mixed voice illusion (what they sold me) it felt like coming out of a trance. Once student with a similar experience even told me he felt like he was leaving a cult after leaving his previous mixed voice teacher.

Society definitely hexes the mind of people to have them do stuff they don't wanna do. It's WILD to see! I made a video saying the 'baritone curse' was just another mind hex, so I'm really glad you get it man haha; you make me feel less crazy!

Definitely the entire market for this is just snake oil lol. I posted a video recently where a vocal coach took a solid 3 minutes to explain how to find your head voice. Like that literally takes 1 seconds. Unless you're (maybe unconsciously, sure) taking people for a ride. Crazy
