I just sang a bit, I did well for part of the session, I sang a song easy that I usually don't do well with, then I felt like I forgot everything I knew for the other part, and it was partly due to there being people at home and me for whatever reason being super conscious of that fact and holding back because I think of how they'll hear me and if I sound stupid like I don't want that. It's so dumb, it's whatever, it is what it is and all, but it's just annoying how I worked for a long time to not be bothered by that anymore yet it still creeps in at times. Idk it would be cool if I could just have a little island where I can fit just myself and no one else and sing and sound dumb all day then go back to society 😂

My man that's so relatable!!! I always suffered because I noticed that singing in front of people made me regress 6-7 months in my singing progress. Like all those 6-7 months of practice and rehearsing just disappeared because of nervousness and I was the singer I was back then.
Eventually started using it to my advantage though (choosing better songs) and that stopped the constant re-traumatization so the gap began closing off and now it's pretty much non-existent!
But I feel the frustration my man thank you for ranting here don't even worry about it you're the best I'm sure you sounded a lot better than you think!! Bet you're a perfectionist just like me lol
